I was researching about semiconductors and ion implantation the whole day so that at the end of it, on the last leg of my journey going home which basically involved riding a trike, I told the driver, “Manong sa semiconductor lang po.”

Huh? Semiconductor = Hormiga?

I might have been just so exhausted.

Anyway, I find Cha’s description of her office as the best hyperbole of the day:

“Our office is so cold my fingers are turning blue!”

So the perennial search for the best word, best sentence, best analogy and other best things continues. I consider the following as the best pun for today.

“Can you look for Gold?”

I was thrilled when I found out that an Ilocano Wikipedia actually exists.

And guess the very first word that I typed in….

My mind must have gone potty but the word was in fact "takki". Yak!

And wikipedia did not fail me. It was good that it did not post any pictures of the word. Otherwise, a toilet would have been very much indispensable.

Anyway, I typed in another word which I found from the "takki" article (It’s quite funny that a takki even had an article.) - "ubet". But there wasn’t any result about it. I tried another word, "pingping", and there wasn’t any still.

I was supposed to try another word but I still have to blog about some things like this so I abandoned the site for a while.

Simply astounding.
